original story: Last weekend, we were surprised to discover that quantum break had entered the “Leaving Soon” section of the Xbox Game Pass library, suggesting that a first-party Xbox title was actually leaving the service.
We were hoping to get more details from Microsoft as part of today’s Xbox Game Pass roundup, but that didn’t happen. Instead, seven games have just been confirmed to release on April 15, with Quantum Break in limbo.
Luckily, it looks like the folks at Xbox Dynasty have shed some light on what’s going on. Microsoft apparently told the outlet that Quantum Break’s removal from Xbox Game Pass was due to “current licensing issues” and that the intention was to get the game back on the service as soon as possible.
It remains to be seen when Quantum Break will leave Xbox Game Pass and how long it will be available, but in the meantime you can grab it for a massive 80% off on the Xbox Store as part of this week’s sales.
