The excluded Microsoft The Ascent is no longer one, an imminent arrival on PS5 and PS4
The deal with Microsoft will only have been temporary: The Ascent will land on PS5 and PS4 and moreover, a release date has just been officially released.
The Ascent on PlayStation
On July 29, 2021, a very good game in isometric view was offered on PC, Xbox Series and PC: called The Ascent, it takes place in a ruthless cyberpunk world and offers a muscular but particularly successful adventure. In our columns, he received a score of 16/20 and was generally praised by players and the press.
A very nice Microsoft exclusivity, therefore, but whose partnership with the American giant will only have been short-lived: we learned last December that the PlayStation machines were also very likely to receive the Neon Digital software. Today, the thing is formalized with a trailer and a release date is even given to us, therefore fixed for March 24 on PS4 and PS5.

If you haven’t heard of The Ascent yet, we of course recommend that you take a look at today’s trailer (available above), which sets the tone: it’s not a game that is in lace, quite the contrary since the goal will be to clear a path among the rebel hordes by betting on destruction.
An explosive shooter in isometric view, with even some big RPG facets since it will be possible (and even highly recommended, of course) to advance his character with a whole host of possibilities. In addition to a frankly successful artistic direction and nervous gameplay, the little extra certainly lies in the cooperation since it is possible to do the whole adventure with several people, locally or online. Note that cross-play will not be offered between the PlayStation and Microsoft versions.
Arcade Berg, co-founder and creative director of Neon Giant, has spoken on the subject:
We’ve been blown away by the incredible feedback for The Ascent on Xbox and PC, so we’re excited to bring the game to new PlayStation audiences.
We started developing The Ascent because we love making games: we want to share what we’ve created with as many players as possible, always in the hope that people enjoy playing it as much as we enjoyed making it.
