Following yesterday’s deal with Boosteroid to bring Xbox and Activision Blizzard games to the service in the future, Microsoft today signed another 10-year deal with cloud gaming provider “Ubitus”.
Xbox boss Phil Spencer said the deal will allow Ubitus to profit from Xbox games for PC, as well as ActiBlizz titles after the acquisition is completed. Here is the announcement tweet:
Microsoft and Ubitus@ubituskk, a leading cloud gaming provider, signed a 10-year partnership to deliver Xbox PC games as well as Activision Blizzard titles after the acquisition closed. We’re committed to giving more players more choice.— Phil Spencer (@XboxP3) March 15, 2023
If you’ve never heard of Ubitus, the company has used its technology to bring various games to Nintendo Switch in cloud form over the past few years, including Control there Resident Evil Village.
Microsoft President Brad Smith recently mentioned that we will see more emerge from these 10-year partnerships, which is the second in a week. Don’t be surprised if there are more on the horizon very soon!
