If you’re urgently looking for supplies to gamble on your Xbox One this weekend, you’ll get your money’s worth – provided you have a Gold Account with Xbox Live. Because Microsoft has given the starting signal for the latest edition of the “Free Play Days”, during which Gold members can try out several players “for free”.

The event is already in full swing and gives you access to the recently released action game Star Wars: Squadrons. Here you slip into the role of a pilot of both the New Republic and the Galactic Empire. You can expect thrilling staged battles with many well-known spaceships from the Star Wars universe. In addition to the multiplayer battles, there is also a single player campaign in which everything revolves around the “Starhawk Project”

If you want things a little less warlike, maybe the Jump & Run Yooka-Laylee is just the right game for you. This equally colorful and beautifully presented game from the Playtonic Games development studio is considered the spiritual successor to the Banjo-Kazooie series and has already received a 2D sequel. The fighting game Dragon Ball FighterZ, on the other hand, is a bit more intense and is currently also available at the “Free Play Days” – until January 17, 2021.

There is also a discount campaign in the Xbox Store, which grants you a decent discount when you buy two of the three games. So if you particularly like one of the titles while trying it out, you can buy it cheaply. Here is the overview:

  • Star Wars: Squadrons – 23,99 anstatt 39,99 Euro
  • Yooka-Laylee – 9.99 instead of 39.99 euros
