Atomic Heart’s February 2023 arrival on Xbox Game Pass was highly anticipated, and Mundfish’s goofy sci-fi shooter quickly became one of the biggest additions of the month to the service. It turns out that the game’s file sizes are also quite large, including a mysterious day one patch that the developer has yet to fix.
And almost 70 GB of update apparently released for the Xbox version of Atomic Heart last night, February 21, while a similar 75GB upgrade It came for the PC version. Prior to this update, the game was around 80GB on Xbox Series X, so the day one patch basically requires a full game redownload there or there!
Does anyone else have a 67.54 GB update for the atomic core? Designed by atomicheart
As mentioned, the team has yet to detail what this update actually does to Atomic Heart. We’ve heard that you’ve made changes to some in-game controls, but we can’t confirm the full extent of the changes yet.
However, the development team seems to be working on another update to address some community concerns. One area mentioned is increasing Field of View (FOV) options for gaming, while the team also says that implement option to increase subtitle size in a future patch.
We are aware of requests to include the FOV setting in the game and are happy to report that the team is already working on it! It will be included in one of the next updates, about which we will also inform you.
Stay tuned and enjoy the game!
