In World of Warcraft, players like to face unique challenges. Because although you can reach level 60 within a few hours, the Reddit user TheSlapperfish made it his goal, a goblin lager to the maximum level without ever leaving the starting area. This is not only associated with a lot of effort, but also brings with it some hurdles.
We have sketched his path so far for you – he is not finished with his action yet.
Tough way to level 60
Hard grind up to level 30: He started this extraordinary journey with a goblin hunter and a WoW starter account. These accounts are, so to speak, WoW test accounts for which you do not yet have to take out a monthly subscription. You can level your character up to level 20 before WoW asks you to buy World of Warcraft including Montasabo for 13 euros.
In the beginning, TheSlapperfish used such a test account and set about taking down 5,000 tunnel worms. This gave him enough experience to get up to level 30. With the test account, he initially only reached level 20, as described above, but the experience points he had collected were saved.
As soon as he took out his monthly subscription, the saved experience points were added to his progress and his hunter now also visually reached level 30.

Pet fights up to level 39: As soon as the worms stopped giving XP, he had to use a trick. He completed the five daily pet battle quests on other characters each day. Since these tasks affect the entire account, his starting area goblin also got experience points and he was able to level up.
New milestone brings more problems: So he finally reached level 50. But that makes his endeavor more difficult. Because from this level the pet fights only give an eighth of the original experience points.
What’s next? The next level-up will take much longer due to this problem. In total, there are between 43 and 44 days of grind just to reach level 51. Any further ascent thereafter will also take more and more time.
He is currently hoping for hints from other players, with which he can level faster despite his self-imposed limits. So far, those under the Reddit post are still few and far between. Instead, there is a lot of praise and love from the community.
Special achievements in WoW
Other players have tackled similar challenges in the past. The most famous player is probably the pacifist pandaren monk Doubleagent, who only climbs up levels through herbalism and mining.
The so-called “World Firsts”, i.e. being the world’s first player in something, is always a popular race for every new expansion and every content patch. At the start of Shadowlands, however, the race was decided in just 3 hours when the first player reached level 60.
The Youtuber Dr. Five, on the other hand, fought his way from level 1 to the maximum level by simply killing pigs for days. The model for this action was the South Park episode “Make Love, not Warcraft”.
Another player, on the other hand, played World of Warcraft completely at the time of Battle for Azeroth and really unlocked every single one of the 3,927 achievements. However, this success was short-lived: after all, the Shadowlands expansion already added more.
