Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty is set to kick off the March 2023 Xbox Game Pass lineup in style, arriving day one on Xbox and PC on March 3. Prior to this release, players can participate with a free demo which will be available next month, and any progress made on this demo will carry over to the full game!
As with many Souls, however, Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty is going to take a beating, so developer Team Ninja has shared some tips on how to do just that. Along with the tutorial above, the team has left some tips for players to soak up before heading into the demonic world of Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty.
One tip is to take good advantage of the game’s various systems, including “Moral Rank”, “Spirit Gauge”, and “Magic Spells”. Your spirit gauge builds up from normal hits, which feeds into the morale range system. Morale is gained by “defeating enemies or landing martial arts attacks, spirit attacks, or a killing blow”, so using your spirit seems essential to survival.
In other places, using your surroundings also seems like good advice. You can climb ledges to perform “kill from above” moves, while parrying and finding enemy weak spots in the heat of battle is key to landing killing blows and defeating your foes.

As we mentioned earlier, your progress will carry over directly to the launch of Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty’s Xbox Game Pass, and you have until March 27 to try out the demo!
