Apex Legends Season 16: Revelry kicked off today, and arguably the biggest addition to the game is the limited-time Team Deathmatch mode. While it’s crazy to think that even the most basic shooter modes are presented as a special event, people were unsurprisingly excited to get involved. Unfortunately, many players have issues with people leaving the game early and completely ruining the experience.
There are several instances on Reddit of people posting their experience jumping into Team Deathmatch in Apex Legends and after a while seeing various teammates and enemies leaving early. This is not a big problem in battle royale because there are a lot of teams. You end up losing and can queue for the next one. However, in Team Deathmatch, the game struggles to fill in the open spaces, leaving many to face an uphill battle when their team leaves.

To make matters worse on this issue, there’s no posted time limit in-game, so if you’re the only one in a lobby, you can just walk around doing nothing for a while. Supposedly, there’s a hidden 30-minute timer in the game mode, which is a ridiculous amount of time for a team deathmatch. More than ten minutes for this mode is excessive, so hopefully it will be shorter the next time you enter.

If this happens to you, the best option is to leave immediately, because you will waste a lot of time waiting for the game to bring people who will never arrive. There is no licensing penalty in Team Deathmatch, so people who messed up your game won’t be punished, and neither will you. While dropouts are definitely an issue, not every game has been like this, so line up for the next game.
