When Metroid Prime Remastered was finally revealed and released during a Nintendo Direct, many people were happy to see Nintendo bring back a much-loved game from the GameCube era. That being said, while waiting for Metroid Prime 4 to emerge from this dark void of no news, will the second and third Metroid Prime games be remastered?

Will Metroid Prime 2 and 3 be coming to Nintendo Switch?
As of this writing, there’s been no announcement or news of a remastered Metroid Prime 2 or 3 for Switch like the first game was recently. That being said, there is always an opportunity. Given that the recent remaster has received quite a bit of praise online, it might just push Nintendo to do it again, especially since we have no idea what the timeline will look like in Metroid Prime 4.
The only delay we have on the possibility of this happening is that there have been rumors of the first Metroid Prime game being remastered for years. Although Nintendo was able to keep the second and third games a secret, it seems a little strange to them that they gave no indication that these other games would come to Switch if they were planned. This further pushes us in the direction of thinking that there won’t be any more releases until Metroid Prime 4 comes out.

Nintendo is very well known for doing weird and original things, so there could be a scenario where a future Nintendo Direct this year will release Metroid Prime 2 Remastered the same way they did the first game here. Don’t expect this to happen, or you’re just setting yourself up for disappointment.
