EA and Omega Force Release Wild Hearts Patch Notes, Including Fixes for PC Performance Issues, Including Improvements for Specific High-End CPUs and AMD Radeon GPUs, and a Fix for a Computer Bug audio stacking common in role-playing. The team says more updates are coming soon, as some players are reporting that this first set of changes didn’t fix their framerate issues.
The Wild Hearts PC patch notes include a fix for high-end CPU throttling, which caused some players to experience lower-than-expected performance for some players using top gaming CPUs. It also fixes a rendering issue that causes the “disco lights” appear when running on an AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX graphics card.
Developer Omega Force claims to have fixed an “audio stacking” issue that was causing CPU load stress. This fix should cause performance issues across the board, meaning the weird Wild Hearts PC performance fix of changing your audio settings to 5.1 or 7.1 audio channels should no longer be necessary.
There is also a fix for an issue on the save/load screen which in some cases caused corrupted save data. The fix has already rolled out to PC platforms, including Steam and the EA app, with PlayStation and Xbox console versions to come. The team states that they will “continue to investigate and resolve performance issues in future updates.”
Despite these changes, several players on the Wild Hearts Reddit page say they still experience frame rate drops when fighting Wild Hearts monsters, with some even going so far as to say the game runs worse after the upgrade. level than before. . If you’ve had any issues so far, it’s worth checking out, but don’t necessarily expect everything to be fixed just yet.
Wild Hearts PC Patch Notes – February 21
Here are the Wild Hearts patch notes for PC on February 21:
- Fixed an issue where some high-end CPUs were unintentionally throttled. High-end PCs should see some performance improvements now.
- Fixed an issue where some sounds would not play or were delayed, causing sound buildup. This “audio stacking” issue was also causing CPU strain for gamers. As a result of this fix, players should see performance improvements across the board. The workaround using 5.1/7.1 audio is no longer needed on PC.
- Set default resolution to 16:9 1080p on first boot. The recommended specification for WILD HEARTS is aligned to a 16:9 1080p display; for new users, this will now be the default. You can change this setting to any resolution you want in-game.
- Fixed a rendering issue (disco lights) when using an AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX.
- Fixed an issue on the save/load screen that could cause save data to be corrupted.
