There are many fantastical beasts to discover as you explore the highlands of Hogwarts Legacy. You can find large and small beasts. Some of them have claws while others, like the Unicorn, have magnificent horns. Unicorns are one of the rarest creatures you can find in the game and they are also hard to catch. If you’re not careful, a Unicorn will run away and get lost in the forest. This guide will show you where to find unicorns in Hogwarts Legacy.
Unicorn locations in Hogwarts Legacy
There aren’t many areas where you can find unicorns in Hogwarts Legacy. By this we mean that there is only one area to catch them; the forbidden forest. Luckily, this is an area you can easily access after learning how to catch and care for beasts. Unfortunately, catching the unicorns is quite difficult and you may have to go back several times.

The Unicorn Lair in the Forbidden Forest is located west of the Upper Hogsfield Floo Flame fast travel point. You can also access the lair by traveling south of the Floo Flame fast travel point from the North Ford Bog entrance. There is also Mooncalf Dens near this location.

How to Catch Unicorns at Hogwarts Legacy
If you’re looking to get your hands on unicorns, you’ll have to wait until evening first. You won’t find any Unicorns if you go to the hideout during the day. Instead, you will only find deer. You can fast forward to evening if you don’t feel like waiting. After dark, use the Disillusionment spell to sneak into the lair and catch the Unicorn off guard.

When you approach the Unicorn, cast the Arrest Momentum spell on it to prevent it from escaping. With the unicorn slowed open your bag and capture it as you would any other beast. You may need to chase it down and reroll Momentum Arrest before the capture is complete.
