Before you can catch a Mooncalf, you’ll need to wait until nightfall. As the name suggests, you can only find this creature when there is a moon. During this time, you can usually find a decent group of them in a lair. When trying to catch a Mooncalf, be sure to sneak around with the Disillusionment spell and use Arrest Momentum to slow one down and increase your chances of catching it.
