Pikmin 4 is something fans of the series have been waiting for years. Since the release of Pikmin 3 on Wii U, there have been very few depictions of the series outside of Hey, Pikmin on 3DS, Olimar’s reappearance in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and the re-release of this third game on Nintendo Switch. With all of this in mind, we finally know when to expect Pikmin 4 in our hands. This is when he launches.

When will Pikmin 4 be released on Nintendo Switch?
Pikmin 4 is set to release on July 21 this year. Although we don’t have a confirmed price, you can expect it to go for $60 on the Nintendo eShop. We’d be surprised if special editions were announced for the game, but independent retailers could offer specials if they wanted.
Pikmin 4 was never a huge hit series for Nintendo, despite having a very dedicated fanbase. The series has a history of barely reaching one million units in most of its previous releases, which is a far cry from Marios, Zeldas, and Animal Crossing games that easily hit double digits.

Just because the series lacks the massive appeal of Pokemon and other Nintendo heavyweights doesn’t mean it’s worthless. As noted above, there’s a very dedicated group that enjoys playing these games, so having the next game in the series in a very different backyard is an exciting step forward.
