By supporting the hardware publisher, you’ll channel your passion for PC gaming hardware into regular media coverage of what’s happening in the industry, as well as guides and product reviews designed to help our readers choose. the best kit for your parameters. Responsibilities
- Test (and eventually break) the latest PC gaming hardware with precision and reliability
- Writing reviews and feature-based content using our standard testing methodology
- Write guides and evergreen articles focused on search engine optimization (SEO)
- Guides and ongoing content updated on a set cycle
- Follow and write the latest gaming hardware news
- Review and edit the work of colleagues and freelancers at a high level
- Develop awareness of search engine optimization (SEO) best practices to optimize traffic and rankings
- Use Parse.ly, Google Trends, SE Ranking and other tools to identify potential gains and mitigate ranking losses
- Use Google, Reddit, and other gaming communities to identify and suggest queries that might lead to new guides
- Work with our eCommerce team to maximize affiliate opportunities
- Keep Asana, Google Calendar, etc. organized and updated
- Attend weekly and bi-weekly 1:1 team meetings
- Other tasks requested by the Materials Editor, Assistant Editor or Editor

- The ability to write brilliantly, quickly, and assignments in a variety of disciplines.
- Be able to quickly understand the basic mechanics of game hardware and write about them in an entertaining and accessible way.
- Strong interest and in-depth knowledge of PC games and the hardware that runs them
- The ability to plan and prioritize your own workload to meet agreed deadlines
- Must possess excellent attention to detail to ensure work is delivered to a high standard the first time
