The people in charge at Ubisoft have revealed in a Reddit AMA that a new update for Watch Dogs Legion is currently being worked on, which should enable 60 FPS on the next-gen consoles. But there is no exact date yet.

The team would like to announce more information soon. Watch Dogs Legion was first released in October 2020. The versions for PS5 and Xbox Series X / S then followed at the respective launch of the next-gen hardware.

Ubisoft’s game is currently running at 30 FPS on all platforms. While the implementations for PS5 and Xbox Series X aim for a dynamic 4K resolution, the Xbox Series S reproduces the title in 1080p.

Ray tracing is enabled by default on all consoles. It can be assumed that the makers will need to tweak a few things in order to hit 60 FPS on PS5 and Xbox Series X. Whether the Xbox Series S will also be equipped with the upcoming update cannot be said at the moment. We’ll keep you informed here.

Just last month, Ubisoft launched Watch Dogs Legion’s multiplayer. Before that, the multiplayer had to be postponed several times. In the mode, players can not only tackle co-op missions in London, but also compete against each other in PvP battles.

The developers want to add more content to the multiplayer in the coming months. More details on Watch Dogs Legion can also be found in our test for the open world title.
