Speaking at CinemaCon, Vin Diesel announced that Fast X will be tied into a second follow-up film, which is slated for release in 2025.

Diesel said:

“This summer is just the start of Fast X.

“And with all your efforts and with all your love and the fact that you are part of our family, Fast X will continue.

“And after this explosive summer, I will have the privilege of returning with you for part two in 2025.”

Rumor has it that Fast X will end the Fast & Furious franchise as we know it in its tenth and eleventh installments, with the conclusion of the main plot centering on Diesel’s character, Dominic Toretto.

Diesel continues:

“Fast is now the longest running franchise in movie history…with the same actors playing the same characters.

“It’s our family, the audience is our family, and as we moved towards this achievement, we attracted directors who brought their own magic to the saga.

“I’m proud to say that for almost two decades Fast’s films have been the most successful of all our directors.”

You’ll be able to catch all the action from the fast-paced battle between the families against Jason Momoa’s Dominic Reyes when Fast X opens in theaters on May 19. It heats up the engines…
