Valve has mixed things up a lot on the Steam Top Sellers list with a major change in the methodology for creating these lists.
A list One of the biggest hits (by revenue) of the last week has been released on Steam. This time it deviates significantly from what we are used to, since Valve has changed how the database works from which services like SteamDB pull these lists. Previously, only paid games were listed there. Instead, they also started taking free games into account..
We’re curious if this change extends to the database only, or if Valve will stop separating free-to-play games with microtransactions into a separate category in their monthly bestseller roundup.

As you can see here, Hogwarts Legacy continues to sell like hot cakes. A good start, despite many technical problems, was also recorded by Wild Hearts.
A change in the way the list is compiled meant it was dominated by free-to-play games like Apex Legends, PUBG: Battlegrounds, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel or Destiny 2.
SteamDB asked its readers how the service should respond to this change. After consulting with them, it was decided that the service’s website will add the option to filter free games, to get a list in the style of those released so far. After using this function, the list of top sellers for the past week is as follows:
