Hyperfocus Games intends to bring Ultra Pro Wrestling to To change after a very successful Kickstarter campaign. The team’s recent crowdfunding campaign was looking for £17,000, but they managed to go way beyond that.
If you grew up with the N64 era of wrestling games, this might be for you. Titles like WWF No Mercy, WCW vs NWO Revenge and Virtual Pro Wrestling 2 are cited as sources of inspiration.
When it comes to gameplay, fans can expect a basic control scheme – it’s not about memorizing move combinations. However, the team intends to deliver an experience “that rewards skillful play”. Players “will be responsible for the execution of every move”.
Here is some additional information:
When pinned or in a submission, you must repeatedly press the eject button(s), depicting an actual wrestlers struggle to wake up/escape, as opposed to time-based mini-games.
With Ultra Pro Wrestling, there will be a long list of grapple, punch, and air attack moves from a variety of fighting disciplines. With multiple ring types, match types, weapons and rules… No two exhibits are alike.
Several features are planned for Ultra Pro Wrestling. These include a “massive” single-player career mode spanning decades, an online mode where wins and losses will determine the rankings, and a “World Internet Wrestling Championship” that can only be held by a single player. only one person at a time and requires at least one to defend per week, and a fighter customization system that allows each fighter to be fully customizable.
