Ubisoft has canceled su E3 2023 appearance shortly after announcing that he will have an exciting presence at the event. The company’s statement comes amid rumors that Assassin’s Creed Mirage and The Crew Motorfest could be pushed back to 2024.
Ubisoft is replacing the E3 2023 show with its own event in June
In a statement to VideoGamesChronicle, Ubisoft said it decided “to go in a different direction,” but didn’t elaborate. However, the company has confirmed that it will choose to hold a Ubisoft Forward event on June 12 in Los Angeles.
The data miner who originally claimed Ubisoft was delaying Assassin’s Creed Mirage and The Crew Motorfest also said the company would have more to share about Ubisoft Forward games. The official statement seems to have partially corroborated the leak as until yesterday there was no news of a Ubisoft Forward event in June.
This development is not good for Ubisoft or E3. The former is already struggling with a thin pipeline of new releases, delays and poor financial performance, and the latter continues to lose important partners.
VGC’s Andy Robinson says he’s “not hearing good things” about E3 2023 and wouldn’t be surprised if it was cancelled.
