Twitch
The streaming platform “Twitch” has changed many rules in the past few months. For example, it was recently announced that both streamers and viewers will get banned if they use certain words. Terms such as “Simp”, “Virgin” and “Incel” were included.
The terms mentioned have the following meanings – “Simp” is someone who does way too much for a person he / she finds attractive. “Virgin” has the same meaning. “Incel” is the name given to those who express themselves negatively towards women.
This caused a stir on social media and many criticized Twitch’s decision. Some explained that only “Simps”, “Virgins” or “Incels” would feel offended by these terms. So far nothing has been changed in these rules.
Alisha
Female streamers on the platform are repeatedly accused of using their bodies to get to viewers and donations, as the majority of users are male. The Twitch scene and the platform itself have therefore already been criticized several times.
While some are serious and even hold their private spots in front of the camera, one streamer has come up with something else.
The young streamer Alisha started a stream and came up with the idea of putting a bikini over her clothes. She then announced that she would change her bikini for every subscription.
At first it looked like a strange idea, but as she got more and more new subscriptions, it became clear that there was a real gold mine behind her idea.
She made a whopping 130 new subscriptions with a stream that went just over three hours. This corresponds to an income of around $764, but the number of viewers also increased significantly.
It even made it to the homepage of the subreddit “Livestreamfails”. In addition, some of these subscriptions will be renewed in the future, which ensures the streamer a monthly income.
The streamer herself is often criticized for her attitude towards men. So she blames men for not getting women noticed if they don’t undress. She talks about men as a “kind” of their own. Many viewers see this claim in the comments as irrelevant, as the biggest streamers on Twitch made it to the top even without bare skin.
