You see, an important part of this wink is based on the Ginyu Strengthwhile Trigun Stampede gave a nod to the infamous anime team this week with its villain, sharing a clear reference to the anime series.

After all, it was hard to miss the scene in question, where the Trigun Stampede provides a close-up of several masked thugs, and they’re assembled in a pose that might look somewhat familiar. The men all strike Ginyu Force poses, and to be honest, we’re surprised Vash didn’t join the party.

Of course, this isn’t the first time an anime has paid homage to the Ginyu Force and for good reason. Dragon Ball Z put these soldiers on the map when they appeared decades ago.
