Amusement parks such as Legoland or Super Mario Land in Japan take visitors into their very own world of experience. In cases like Super Mario Land found in Japan, these are based on popular video games and characters from the games.

The big publisher Ubisoft wants to join this now and could possibly open its own amusement park soon!

Ubisoft announced a partnership with Storyland Studios this week to explore the possibility of building a “Ubisoft Great Theme Park” based on the French developer’s popular brands. Storyland Studios has worked on other theme park projects including Universal Studios and Legoland.

Theme Park Insider reported on it and spoke to the boss of Storyland Studios, Ben Thompson, who described Ubisoft’s franchises like Assassin’s Creed as “iconic and recognizable worldwide”.

There are currently two concrete virtual reality offers based on Ubisoft games on the table. These are “Assassin’s Creed: Escape the Lost Pyramid” and “Prince of Persia: The Dagger of Time”.

A comprehensive Ubisoft theme park is also under development. The concepts for the two to three hour indoor attraction are to be announced at the IAAPA Expo in November. The Ubisoft entertainment manager said:

“Video games and theme parks have a lot more in common than we think. We look forward to working with Storyland to further explore the potential for synergies and create immersive, innovative and unforgettable experiences based on our catalog of worlds.”

Ubisoft is responsible for popular video game series such as “Assassin’s Creed”, “Just Dance”, “Far Cry”, “Trials Fusion” and many more. Most recently, the company expanded into film, television, consumer goods and now themed entertainment.
