How will Lara Croft’s adventures continue after the current game trilogy? We find out in an animated series that will be shown on Netflix.

Netflix said on Twitter, “The most iconic video game heroine is animated! Tomb Raider is a new anime series by
Legendary, which follows Lara Croft’s adventures after the events of the reboot trilogy of the video game. “We don’t know more about this series at the moment. We don’t know when it will come or what exactly the stories will be about. Basically the current trilogy represents the prelude to the long-lasting series of games. The adventures make Lara Croft the person we know from the other games.
Therefore, after the end of Shadow of the Tomb Raider, there will be plenty of opportunities to tell stories about Lara Croft’s other adventurers. There are still many secrets to be found in the world. The adventurer will probably have to deal with supernatural opponents again – unlike in the latest film, which was based on the events of the first game from the current trilogy, but left out the supernatural elements. The planned sequel is probably going a similar way.
What this series means for the future of games is unclear. But nothing really speaks against letting Lara Croft experience adventures in the series as well as in potential new games. It is not yet known whether and when another part will appear. We can look forward to the animated Netflix series as soon as it starts on a date that has not yet been announced.
