We’re back for another look at the best NFT and web3 games from the past week. NFT markets saw an expected drop in volume as heavy wash trading eased. And game development continues to move forward, with more play opportunities and wins appearing every week!
The wash exchange of those looking to play with Blur.io’s highly anticipated second airdrop seems to have slowed down. And as a result, we are seeing a significant drop in the trading volume of major NFT projects. Despite this temporary outlier, NFT markets remain strong overall.
For players, new game opportunities and payouts from Undead Blocks, Champions Ascension, Mirandus, and Eternal Dragons emerged this week. With more playtesting releases, most of which offer some form of reward to their players, the field of play to win continues to grow. The Web3 gaming space is maturing rapidly, although those who don’t follow the news seem to think that blockchain gaming is still nothing more than slots and pyramid schemes.
As always, there is plenty to follow in the blockchain space. Sign up to our newsletter for a weekly digest and links to all our articles of the week!

Planet IX continues to climb the charts, securing third place behind our two eternal titles: Alien Worlds and Splinterlands. This staking/farming game continues to add new layers and complexities to its gameplay, and it seems to be attracting players!
And Oath of Peak, which just released in January, seems to be holding its own, slipping to tenth place on our charts this week.

Unsurprisingly, after last week’s NFT whaling trading frenzy, this week we are seeing a significant drop in trading volume across the board. The only exception in the top 10 is a new project on this list, MG Land.
MG Land is another metaverse/virtual world project. I don’t see anything in particular to associate with this spike in volume, so we’ll see if MG Land can sustain this volume of commercial traffic in the coming weeks.
