Although Konami still does not reveal the future of the license, from Codeless Studio they have taken advantage of the use of the new engine to recreate the game.

Silent Hill has not shown any signs of life for a few years. The successful Konami license has millions of fans eager to make a new installment in the new generation of consoles; Meanwhile, a group of fans have imagined what a remake of Keiichiro Toyama’s original installment would look like under the powerful Unreal Engine 5 graphics engine .

Needless to say, this is an unofficial work that seeks to pay homage to the myth; It does not intend to make notable changes to the original experience, but rather to remain faithful to the work of Silent Hill both in setting and in details of the environment (fog, cosmetic aspects, perspective…) of the original PlayStation video game.

Silent Hill fan remake first trailer

According to the details of the project, which was published with this trailer on YouTube on January 9, we are facing a pre-alpha, so there is a long way to go for the final version of this project. It is just over 4 minutes of video, but the feedback received is very positive. It is hoped that in the near future more gameplays and progress of the project can be seen from the Codeless Studio YouTube channel.

New Silent Hill in development?

For now we know that Silent Hill and Project Zero will have their own movies in theaters and, although Konami opened an official Twitter account for the saga last July 2020 , the much-rumored new video games remain unconfirmed. Last October, VGC, Eurogamer and Gematsu assured according to sources close to both media that there is a new Metal Gear Solid, Castlevania and Silent Hill in development. Gematsu claims that the new Silent Hill is being developed by a Japanese studio. It is possible that this year 2022 we will leave doubts.
