Mundfishthe study that works on the expected FPS, atomic heartrevealed the full set of hardware requirements needed to run the game on a wide variety of settings, including 4K – 60 FPS mix.

Given that Nvidia has long shown off some of its strongest visual effects through its RTX-ready events, it’s no surprise that Atomic Heart requires a fair amount of hardware to run well at max settings.

Atomic Heart runs on Unreal Engine 4, which means the game should be reasonably scalable on a wide range of hardware. This is confirmed, in fact, by the developer’s recent hardware requirements announcement, as well as a new interview that explains some of the important nuances surrounding Mundfish’s game engine of choice.

While the developer’s claims that DLSS will compensate for Atomic Heart’s implementation of Denuvo are quaint at best, the studio’s list of requirements suggests that most PC gamers should be able to run the game without issue.

Based on the list provided, running Atomic Heart maxed out at 4K on an Nvidia RTX 3080 or AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT should give gamers a steady 60 FPS.

Presumably this also includes the game’s many Ray Tracing options, although it’s worth noting that the listing itself doesn’t specify this.
