As we already saw a month ago, Cities: Skylines 2 was presented by colossal order and Paradox Interactive, announcing its launch later this year. After this presentation, no further title details have been exposed in this regard, until now Colossal Order has confirmed some title details through its official Twitter account.
The study wanted to answer questions from the community via a post on Twitter, in addition to explaining some changes and content found in the title. The first thing that has been confirmed is that Cities: Skylines II is a completely new game compared to its predecessors and more information about it will be revealed this year.
One of the most repeated questions is whether the title will include a multiplayer or cooperative mode. To this question, Colossal Order replied that ”Cities Skylines II is our most ambitious project yet, as it spans all the mechanics of the franchise. Adding multiplayer support takes an incredible amount of time and resources, which affects the core player creation experience we’re trying to create.'”
This answer suggests that multiplayer is not in the studio’s development plans. But who knows, maybe thanks to the insistence of the community, they decide to include it. We will only have to wait for more details that will be exposed during this year.
