The Pokémon Company has revealed that it will make a series of announcements throughout this week to celebrate Pokémon Day, which will take place next Sunday, February 27.

Tuesday will kick off with news on Pokémon Sword and Shield, followed by news on Pokémon Café Mix on Wednesday, Pokémon Unite on Thursday, the Pokémon P25 show on Friday, and Pokémon Go on Saturday.

In addition, for Sunday, the day of the Pokémon Day celebration, more announcements are expected. There is speculation, for example, with some kind of announcement related to Pokémon Legends: Arceus.

We don’t know what these ads will be about, though it will likely be additional content in most cases. In the case of Sword and Shield, it is probably not something very important, since the attention is currently focused on Arceus and that the previous game already received two expansions after its launch in 2020. From Arceus, on the other hand, a DLC with a new area.

Regarding Pokémon Go, the Go Tour: Johto event will take place on Saturday, with a long post-event adventure for those who buy tickets.

Finally, on Sunday there could be a little something else apart from Arceus. The suspects are the sequel to the Detective Pikachu movie and the curious Pokémon Sleep. Both projects were announced in May 2019, but have not been heard from since.
