In a few hours, The Outer Worlds: Spacer’s Choice Edition will debut. Steam gamers didn’t like the fact that owners of the original will have to pay to access updates to the new edition.
The Outer Worlds: Spacer’s Choice Edition, the revamped version of Obsidian Entertainment’s popular RPG, launches today.
- The game will debut on PC, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and PlayStation 5.
- The game will be unlocked on digital stores at 5:00 PM CET.
- The PC version will be available for purchase on Steam, Epic Games Store, and GOG.com.
Spacer’s Choice Edition should offer improved lighting and improved textures. We will also have additional animations and improved performance. The increased character level cap should be a big draw.
It is worth mentioning that the edition will include the base version of the game and all DLCs, namely Peril on Gorgon and Murder on Eridanos.
Players don’t like the fact that they will have to pay extra
Unfortunately, the upgraded version of the game will not be available for free. To take advantage of these improvements, current owners of the outer worlds you will have to pay $10. Gamers clearly didn’t like it, as reviews of the original on Steam show. Counting them all since release day, 84% praised the game. However, if we only consider those from the last 30 days, only 56% were positive.
