2019 is fantastic the outer worlds will receive a special definitive release on Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S (as well as several other platforms) next week in the form of The Outer Worlds: Spacer’s Choice Edition.
This version of the game will introduce several new features, including an amazing remaster in the visual department, as well as performance improvements, a level up cap, and all of the game’s DLC.
Here’s a little more about what you can expect:
• It’s The Outer Worlds You Love, But Even Better: 2019’s hit RPG has been updated with better graphics, improved performance, additional animations, higher resolution environments, and more.
• increased level cap: A higher level cap means even more ways to build your character from the seven branches of the skill tree.
• The player-driven story RPG: In keeping with Obsidian tradition, how you approach The Outer Worlds is up to you. Your choices not only affect how the story unfolds, but also your character build, side stories, and endgame scenarios.
• direct your companions: During your journey through the most distant colony, you will meet a large number of characters who will want to join your crew. Armed with unique abilities, these companions have their own missions, motivations, and ideals. It’s up to you to help them achieve their goals or exploit them for your own ends.
• Explore the Corporate Colony: Halcyon is a colony on the edge of the galaxy owned and operated by the board of directors of Halcyon Holdings. They control everything… except the alien monsters left behind when the terraforming of the colony’s two planets didn’t go exactly as planned. Find your ship, build your crew, and explore colonies, space stations, and other intriguing locations across Halcyon.
If you’re wondering how to access this version of The Outer Worlds if you already own the game and its DLC on Xbox, you can upgrade to the “Spacer’s Choice Edition” for a price of £5 in the UK. If you only own the base game, it looks like you’ll be stuck paying full price (£49.99) for the new version.
