The American publisher Electronic Arts is relaunching its collaboration with Middle-earth Enterprises to offer a role-playing game exploring the fantastic universe of Lord of the Rings through an experience that is at once strategic, competitive and social.

Developed by Capital Games (formerly BioWare Sacramento), The Lord of the Rings: Heroes of Middle-earth will feature immersive storytelling, turn-based combat, a rich collection system, and a great cast of characters from across the expansive Lord of the Rings and Hobbit universe. Fans of the license will be able to relive iconic moments from Tolkien’s world and fight against the great evils of Middle-earth. Exclusively intended for iOS and Android smartphones, the new video game adaptation of The Lord of the Rings will enter the regional beta test phase this summer.
