Finally, we are only a few days away from the release of Eclipse, the new extension of Destiny 2For what Bungie revealed the latest trailer for the upcoming expansion. In this new trailer, the studio drops the final references to the “beginning of the end” as Destiny 2’s ongoing Light and Darkness saga begins to reach its incredible conclusion.
Afterwards, Eclipse prepare the guards to deal with the Witness’s plans against the traveler, especially now that there is no escape, but… what can we expect in the latest expansions of the saga? Well, based on the trailer, plus dialogue from The Witness, a confrontation involving the traveler shooting a giant gun, and the possible death of The Tower’s favorite carpenter, Amanda Holiday.
The good news here is that we won’t have to wait much longer to know for sure what’s to come. Eclipse is set to launch next Tuesday, February 28, and it looks like it will be a major update for the game, as it introduces the new Strand subclass (which includes a grappling hook for a new way to traverse the world of Destiny) , as well as a new campaign, a new location, and much more for players.
Additionally, Eclipse will be released alongside the start of the upcoming season, challenge seasonand coincides with an update that adjusts many aspects of the game, revamps difficulty, reworks a variety of weapons and abilities, adjusts weapon crafting, and much more.
According to developer feedback, when the Light goes out, weapons and artillery equipment will reach a new level, giving us a great story with gameplay that keeps players engaged and has become the hallmark of the game.
Prepare to fight Neomunaattack with ropes and take on Calus and the Legion of Shadows, starting next Tuesday, February 28.
