Content creators report that The last of us Game videos receive copyright notices on YouTube, allegedly due to a soundtrack conflict with the HBO TV series. The issue started last week and is still unresolved to this day.
The Last of Us gameplay videos forced to change the soundtrack
In what appears to be an error on the part of YouTube or HBO (it’s unclear who the strikes are from), gameplay videos old and new are forced to change the game’s soundtrack.
Popular content creator Speclizer, known for The Last of Us mod videos, tweeted that between 40 and 50 of his videos got copyright notices. Now they have to individually swap the soundtrack for each of the videos.
About 40-50 of my videos just got masked for using TLOU music, it’s crazy you can’t even download a play without it being masked now. I guess I have to be extremely careful with TLOU music in my TLOU videos… #The last of us pic.twitter.com/LHGw6lfx80

Several other content creators shared the same frustration.
YouTubers are understandably upset about this as they risk losing their accounts. Naughty Dog, HBO, and YouTube have yet to respond to the issue.
