Avalanche Software has bad news for those who have been waiting Hogwarts Legacy DLC. The studio says it currently has no plans to release any additional content, but the good news is that it doesn’t look like DLC is completely out of the question.

Hogwarts Legacy DLC Could Eventually Release

“We really brought (Hogwarts Legacy) to life,” game director Alan Tew told IGN. “So at the moment there are no current plans for the DLC.”

This statement does not completely rule out the possibility of a DLC. This ostensibly implies that Avalanche Studio is still busy with release window work, including updates and patches, and simply hasn’t had time to dig into the Hogwarts Legacy expansion. Additionally, the game has yet to be released on PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch, which likely means there’s still a lot of work to do.

Time will tell if we finally get the Hogwarts Legacy DLC/expansion or not, but considering the game’s success and fan reception from the start, I’d be surprised if no additional content is released.

Considering the sales milestones it has already started to hit, fans are already talking about the Hogwarts Legacy sequel. The green light for new content or a sequel would be a no-brainer for Warner Bros.
