Krafton has announced that the first PUBG Global Series tournament will begin next month and will be held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Scheduled for April 27-May 7, the event will feature a $500,000 prize pool, and we’re also told a bit about the format.
A total of 24 teams will be in attendance, including the eight partner teams, with the remaining slots split as follows: three from the Americas, six from APAC, five from Asia and two from Europe.
As for the format, we’re told it will start with a group stage, leading to a win/lose knockout bracket, all before the grand final on May 7. This will also be the last tournament to use the v3.0.5 ruleset, with teams competing on the Erangel and Miramar maps.
