The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom cover has potentially been unveiled in Japan.
The Reddit user below apparently visited Nintendo’s Tokyo store earlier this week and spotted a Tears of the Kingdom retail box. This is actually the first time a retail box has been found for the new Zelda game, and it gives a pretty good idea of what we should expect from the final product when it releases later this year in May. .
The artwork featured on the front of the pack also serves as the official Tears of the Kingdom key art, first revealed last month alongside a new trailer. The link looking through the clouds to Hyrule below pretty much sums up the changes to Breath of the Wild, should you happen to see the box art without any previous trailer to go on.
This could be the Japanese cover of Tears of the Kingdom, but it could also be the North American one. The Breath of the Wild box art, seen just below, doubled as retail packaging in North America and Japan in 2017, with only European customers getting a different variant of the official cover in launch (it’s this photo of Link looking back). the player at the top of the Large Board).

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom launches later this year on May 12. Thanks to a recent listing on the Nintendo Store, it looks like Tears of the Kingdom is getting DLC, which shouldn’t be so surprising given that Breath of the Wild was Nintendo’s first game with an expansion pass for all his latest. content at launch.
