Nintendo’s old handheld workhorse may no longer be cool, but that’s not stopping new games from coming out for the Game Boy Advance. In this case, however, it is an old unreleased game rescued from digital oblivion by the band forest of illusions. This is a group of people who specialize in preserving older software for Nintendo’s many platforms.
In a recent statement on Twitter, the group announced their latest find, which is none other than the Bible. And no, it’s not a game per se, but a real Bible in a playable format for the Game Boy Advance that was about to be released by 505 games it was a long time ago.
The Bible cover art and description for the Game Boy Advance can still be found on the old 505 Games website, accessible via (among other places) the return machine. A historical curiosity, at least, and now it is possible to download the full ROM for free from its website.
