Following the success of the Set 3 Worlds of Teamfight Tactics, which saw French player KC Double 61 win, Riot Games is clarifying things for the Set 4.5 competition.

The Teamfight Tactics: Destinies World Championship will indeed undergo several changes. For this tournament, which will take place on April 7, 8 and 9, 2021, there will be 16 but 24 players, dont six 6 from the European qualification circuit. For the course of the tournament, we stay on fairly classic things. On the first day, players will be divided according to their performance in qualifying, and after 5 games only 16 players will be left. During the second day, the players will face each other according to their results of the day before.

Five games later, only eight will be left. For the third day and on the occasion of the final, the rules will be simple: the first player to make a top 1 with 18 points will win the tournament. For this year, the total cash prize will be $ 250,000. The winner of the tournament will take home $ 41,500, the second will receive $ 26,000 and the third $ 18,000. The last player in the standings, the 24th, will walk away with $ 4000.
