After years in semi-maintenance mode, the folks at Team Fortress 2 have decided to prepare a big patch for this summer. Instead of just a summer event, like they did, they bundled up and got to work. Below we leave you the official statement.
Creators of the Steam Workshop, please pay attention to us. The following message is so urgent and important that we have made the executive decision to bypass TikTok and Twitter entirely and break the glass on the most advanced communications technology available.
Welcome to the future. Welcome… to a “blog post”.
“Wow! you’re probably thinking. “I had forgotten how hard it is to read!” Yeah, it’s scary how fast you lose that. Don’t worry, we’ll be brief:
The last Team Fortress summer events were all about item updates. But this year, we plan to release a full party-sized update, complete with community-contributed items, maps, taunts, unusual effects, warpaints, and other gameplay fixes! Which means we need Steam Workshop content! YOUR Steam Workshop content!
So get to work! (Or get back to work, if you were already working, but got distracted when the whole internet simultaneously caught wind of this cutting-edge blog post.) Be sure to submit your content to the Steam Workshop before May 1st so that it can be considered for this as yet unnamed, unthemed, but still very exciting (but not summer-themed) summer update (unless you want to expand on things with a summer theme).
