Stardew Valley Expanded

Stardew Valley is not only regularly supplied with massive updates by creator Eric Barone aka Concerned Ape, the farm simulation also has many fans in the modding community who are busy tinkering with their own content. One such piece of content that is currently causing a stir is Ridgeside Village. With the modification you get access to a new village, which is located east of your farm above the bus stop.

Ridgeside Village has its own background music, numerous new tasks, shops and items as well as two special festivals and 160 other events. In the outskirts of the village you can collect new plants and catch fish. The area is populated by 24 fresh NPCs, ten of which are even available for romances.

In the description of the mod there is talk of 2000 new lines of dialogue and loads of new, manually developed quests. Fishing enthusiasts looking for a challenge can also look forward to additional waters with legendary fish. The latest version of the free unofficial expansion is compatible with Stardew Valley (buy now 16,16 €) 1.5 and available for download on the Nexusmods page.

Before installing, however, you should make sure that you have the other mods required to run Ridgeside Village. These are listed under “Requirements”. As things stand today, there is no German version of the mod. So it’s best if you already play Stardew Valley in English. Fans may still be creating translations into other languages in the future.
