The ESL has announced that it is changing the format of the StarCraft II Pro Tour for the 2023/24 season. The season will now feature weekly ESL Open Cups, before two regional online Masters, which will include live in-person finals, one in Sweden in May and the other in Atlanta in November.

This will be followed by the ESL Pro Tour Championship, which will be announced and explained in more detail later this year.

To add to this, ESL will merge the Latin America and North America regions, and will also do the same with many Asian countries (and even Oceania here) to create a solidified Asia region. Europe and Korea will continue to operate as they do now.

Finally, ESL also revealed that in the future they will fund all tournament prize money, as they also bring everything in-house.
