Update 1.6 brings, among other things, new mission loading screens, adjusted for widescreen resolutions.
Recall that, as the title suggests, the project acts as an unofficial remaster. The mod improves virtually all textures in the game, replacing them with higher resolution versions. The gameplay has also been improved. and an optional Reshade pack was added, improving visual effects.
It’s important to note that Star Wars: Republic Commando Remaster has implemented some of the game’s oldest mods in order to, among other things, support ultra-wide resolutions.
Overall, Star Wars: Republic Commando Remaster is an impressive project. With this mod, the PC version of the game is better than the official remaster released in 2021 for PS4 and Nintendo Switch.. The authors’ later plans include a complete overhaul and upgrade of the entire lighting system, but we’ll have to wait a bit longer for this attraction.
