What is the real origin of Princess Peach (Toadstool)?
It’s something that’s never been seriously discussed in gaming stories: where does Peach come from? Why is she a princess? Who are their parents and maybe the kings? Is she the only human in the Mushroom Kingdom?
In the latter is one of the keys to the Super Mario Bros. movie. Although the characters come together and help each other “just because”, there is something that explains the immediate chemistry between the princess and the plumber , and it is not love. Peach realizes he’s a human, and other than that, he likes her.
As the scenes unfold, in one of the film’s few thought-provoking moments, Peach reveals that she wasn’t born there, but came to the Mushroom Kingdom at a very young age, barely a year old, at the same time. title as Mario and Luigi, through an interdimensional pipeline. She could barely walk and had a pacifier, but since then the toads have taken her in, cared for her into adulthood, and named her princess of the kingdom. There is no mention of a former or current king, but Mario expresses the most logical suspicion: “perhaps you are from my world”.
Peach is eminently human, so it remains to be explained how she ends up getting out of that pipe and what the source pipe is. Will it be that of the old level 1-2 in the Brooklyn basement? Will he come from another part of the Earth?
In this fantasy there are many realms and galaxies, as she herself explains, but Nintendo and Illumination left these clues for fans to rack their brains and come up with a thousand and one theories about the princess’ true origins. Peach, a lost girl. Needless to say, this, along with the post-credits scene revealing a transport that happened upside down, sets the stage for the inevitable Super Mario Bros. movie sequel.
