Slime Rancher 2 is available now on Xbox Game Preview and Xbox Game Pass, and the team at Monomi Park has revealed the game’s first major post-launch update roughly five months after launch.
The “Song of the Sabers” update is now live, and things are looking very wintry on Rainbow Island. The cool, icy place features new gadgets to build, new snowy vistas to gaze at, and uh, snowball fights if that’s your thing!
Here’s the Slime Rancher 2 Song of the Sabers setup, straight from the team:
Your adventure begins when Beatrix LeBeau discovers a mysterious glacier off Ember Valley known as Powderfall Bluffs. Like a giant, icy time capsule, this new biome contains a thriving community of prehistoric Saber Slimes and Thundercluck chickens, as well as a treasure trove of new crafting resources and strange auroral anomalies scattered throughout the region.
