Sebastian is just one of many NPCs you will encounter throughout your journey in Hogwarts Legacy. As you learn more about Sebastian, you discover that his sister is sick and he will stop at nothing to cure her. It seems there is hope as a dark artifact is mentioned that allows the user to cure curses. Of course, a power like this comes at a high cost and using it might not be the best idea. Should you let Sebastian take the legacy at Hogwarts Legacy?
Should you side with Sebastian or Ominis for the relic in Hogwarts Legacy?
Sebastian’s questline is full of dark secrets about the founder of Slytherin house. The further you go down this path, the more you realize that dark magic has a price, and Sebastian isn’t afraid to pay a toll if it means curing his sister of that nasty curse. After several quests, you have finally discovered information about an ancient artifact that can break Anne’s curse.

Meet Sebastian near Feldcroft for the In the Shadow of Time quest. In this mission you will explore ancient ruins and find out that the ancient artifact is real. However, when he gets there, he is presented with a choice after learning the cost it takes to use it:
- We should leave the relic alone.
- we need this relic
It’s not the first choice you’re forced to make when it comes to Sebastian’s relationship. At the start of the game, you have to decide whether to report it or not. When it comes to taking the relic, no matter what choice you make, Sebastian will say it’s “for Anne’s sake” and take the relic. Whatever dark sacrifice comes with the relic, Sebastian is more than willing to pay for it.

After making this choice, Ominis will appear and you will have to make a second choice. That choice is whether you should side with Ominis or Sebastian when it comes to taking the relic. If he decides to side with Ominis, he’ll be relieved to think that Sebastian has gone too far. You’ll also promise that Sebastian won’t go any further than that. If you agree with Sebastian, Ominis will relent, but he won’t be happy for you to take the relic. In any case, you will leave the catacombs with the relic in hand.
