Genshin Impact update 3.5 has finally arrived, bringing with it new banners offering a mix of old and new characters for you to add to your roster. The first set of wishes in this update sees the return of General Sumeru Cyno and the introduction of new playable character Dehya, the fiery Eremite.

There are also a handful of returning 4-star characters that will be available in each of the special banners, namely Barbara, Bennett, and Collei. They’re all decent support characters, but Bennett in particular is generally considered a great Pyro support addition to most teams. As such, even if you’re not crazy about Cyno or Dehya, it might be worth investing in 3.5 Banners just to pick up Bennett or upgrade your Constellation. But Intertwined Fate is in limited supply, and you might only have one chance to target one of the 5-star characters before the next set of banners appear, so who should it be?

Should you support Dehya in Genshin Impact 3.5?

Dehya is a new 5-star playable character added in Update 3.5. As a user of Pyro Claymore, she had built a solid reputation throughout history as a powerful person, but unfortunately her inclusion in the standard banner suggested that her actual strength in the game might be less powerful. , despite its rating of 5. of. stars.

However, Dehya can find a place in some players’ squads with the right investment. She’s more defense-focused, with the ability to take damage instead of the character on the field, so if you haven’t come across a decent or shield-focused character yet, she can be useful in a pinch if you configure it. with some artifacts that increase defense and such. She can also heal herself, which will help her take those hits. Unfortunately, she’s nothing out of the ordinary as a Pyro character, with her elemental AOE ability and unreliable burst making it surprisingly difficult to trigger elemental reactions, a cornerstone of most players’ playstyles. .

Should you bet on Cyno in Genshin Impact 3.5?

Cyno first appeared in Banners in 3.1, and many of the same arguments for it still apply. He’s a solid Electro DPS character, and his abilities pair well with Dendro characters if you’re looking to unleash powerful reactions like Hyperbloom and Aggravate. If you managed to pick up Alhaitham in the last update or Collei as a 4-star in this one, combining his powers with Cyno’s can set you up for some good damage. Even if you don’t have any, Dendro Traveler also plays well with Cyno’s abilities.

The only real downside to Cyno is that it can take a bit of getting used to effectively. Dendro/Electro’s elemental reactions can be tricky to pull off if you’re not already as familiar with them, and while Cyno’s elemental blast is powerful, it requires precise timing to get the most out of it and will reset if you need to change it out. off the field for any reason.
