When it comes to picking a rifle in Resident Evil 4 Remake, there are several options to choose from. The Stingray is a semi-automatic rifle you’ll come across as you progress through the story, and it’s a powerful option to select, but it has its pros and cons, like all weapons. You will have to decide if you want to use it or the standard rifle, the SR M1903. Here’s what you need to know if you should use Stingray in the Resident Evil 4 Remake.
Is the Stingray any good in the Resident Evil 4 Remake?
Because the Stingray is a semi-automatic rifle, it will be much easier to use this weapon and shoot back to back than the SR M1903. The M1903 is an older rifle, and every time you fire it there will be a brief second where you need to reload the next bullet. For some players this may be preferable as they have to line up their next shot, but some may like the smooth transition every time they pull the trigger which will happen when using Stingray.

However, the Stingray and the SR 1903 have the same advantages. Both deal three times normal damage when hitting an enemy’s weapon tip, have piercing power, and can be used with multiple ranges. What makes Stingray a better choice are the other stats it has going for it like higher ammo capacity, faster reload speed, faster rate of fire, has more raw damage and is slightly more precise. . Both of these guns are extremely accurate, so you can’t go wrong if they’re your primary rifle, but the Stingray is better in almost every way.

If I were to compare the Stingray to the other rifle, the CQBR assault rifle, there is now a conversation about its playstyle. The CQBR is just as accurate, but has a much higher rate of fire and a more large ammo capacity, but has less power and has a slower, if not comparable, reload speed. So between the two, if you’re looking for more of a sniper rifle, the Stingray is an obvious choice, but if you’re looking for an accurate assault rifle, the CQBR is great, but consumes ammo quickly.
The Stingray is a great option over the other rifles in the Resident Evil 4 Remake. The downside of the weapon is the inventory space it takes up compared to the SR 1903.
