Little Nightmares has sold over twelve million copies to date, its sixth anniversary, as revealed by Bandai Namco Europe.
The single spooky platformer franchise already has three episodes, namely Little Nightmares, Little Nightmares II, and mobile title Very Little Nightmares. Originally released in conjunction with developer Tarsier Studios in 2017, the IP won fans over with its distinctive art style and rich storytelling (pun intended given its culinary bent).
Arnaud Muller, CEO of Bandai Namco Europe, said:
“The Little Nightmares franchise has seen tremendous growth and success since the first installment, which launched six years ago today.
“We are proud of the work done by the Bandai Namco Europe teams with Tarsier Studios, Engine Software and Supermassive Games to create great games while expanding the franchise into more media.”
Lucas Roussel, Publishing Director and Executive Producer of Bandai Namco Europe, added:
“Watching the community grow over the years has been a blessing.
“When we launched Little Nightmares, we thought we had something really special, but we’re still amazed every day by our fans’ commitment to the franchise.”
“We can’t thank them enough for their dedication as we continue to work on what’s next for the franchise.”
