Developed by Japanese video game developer Omega Force and published by EA, Wild Hearts is an action RPG similar to Monster Hunter. The game is set in feudal Japan, with several large areas for players to explore freely. You’ll take on the role of a nameless hunter, hunting down the Kemono, massive monsters in the world of Azuma. With 8 different weapon types to choose from and the game’s Karakuri mechanics that allow you to craft various items to aid in combat, Wild Hearts’ early access and later release has certainly won the hearts of many of its players. . Although it may be a while before most players complete the game’s main campaign, the developers have already released information on what we can expect in terms of updates, which will arrive in March of this year.

What can Wild Hearts players expect in March 2023?

According to the latest development article, the research is not over yet. Volatile Kemono will be introduced into the game as post-main story content. Defeating them will net you rare crafting materials and Keystones, a new item type that will be introduced in the update. But be warned: the developers have said that “defeating such a creature will prove to be a challenge unlike any you’ve encountered so far in Azuma”, so you’ll definitely want to be prepared before taking on this challenge.
However, that’s not all: collecting enough keystones will earn you the right to challenge an even tougher enemy, the highly unstable Kemono. A successful hunt will grant you one of the rarest and most powerful talismans in the game. The developers also commented that “only the most skilled hunters dare to face them alone”, so it’s likely that many players will get their first group releases.
For more casual players, a new Kemono will also be introduced to the game:
- Hellfire Laharback – Releases with a new quest and a talisman.
- Grimstalker: Kin to the Deathstalker, this new version of Kemono will include a new quest and several new themed weapon and armor pieces.
The update will also add new high-difficulty missions, a new emote, and a new chat pad to the game.
