a few moments ago Greg Street (Ghostcrawler) He took us by surprise on social media when he announced he was leaving Riot Games, the company he’s been making games for for 9 years. Greg Street was the current leader of the MMO project in which Riot Games works.
In the statement, he alluded to recent family issues that led him to make this decision.

Hello Internet. Thanks for all the support over the last few months while I was afk
I’m back with some important news to share: I’ve decided to leave my role at Riot Games.
A combination of personal and professional considerations led me down this path. We suffered devastating personal losses last year and I want to be closer to my family.
But while I was on break, I was able to think a lot about my career. Pain has a way of focusing you on what matters most to you (although I wouldn’t recommend it in general). And after nine years at Riot, it seems like the time has come to do something new.
I said from the start that building a League of Legends MMO worthy of all of you was going to be a long journey. The most important job I could do as part of this was to build an amazing team and even though I try to be humble in general, I can brag about this team all day!
The MMO is in good hands and the time has come to hand over the reins of the next phase.
I plan to continue developing games and have already had several exciting opportunities. And I’ll be with you all playing Riot’s MMO when it comes out.
Hugs, GC
A news that leaves us with a strange feeling of uncertainty about the future of the game, which we hope, as he says, in good hands. I guess as we start to see details about the game we can better assess this decision.
Now, let’s wish Ghostcrawl the best and hope to see it in the not too distant future.
